The current pandemic situation has made everything comes to a standstill and individuals change their weekend activities to adjust to the current stay at home and social distancing measures.

Being high energy individuals, the current situation does not deter the teens from continuing their weekends of fun and catchup with their friends. There are still fun activities that they can do to liven up their free time during the weekend and not get into a state of boredom.

Below is a list of fun activities that teens do during the weekends during the current pandemic situation:

1. Play Video Games

Playing video games is a great way to bond with friends as they can play games and at the same time socialise with one another during the game sessions. As there are numerous genres of games that they can play, they will not get bored playing the games and change the genres every weekend to sustain the fun and interest.

2. Hosting Virtual Parties

Teens love party, grooving to great music and boozing (non alcoholic drinks) the night away. With the advent of technology, they can hold virtual parties via Zoom to celebrate birthdays or just to chill and invite their DJ friends to spin tracks of their choice and dance the night away. They can also include virtual games to engage and entertain the guests. Holding these virtual parties on Saturday nights are awesome because it breaks the monotony of the week and make the teens look forward to their Saturday nights in anticipation.

3. Taking up a Group Hobby

With more time stayed at home, teens are using the time to pick up a new skill such as learning a new language or musical instrument or taking up a new hobby. There are some hobbies that they take up as a group such as doing a terrarium together virtually or doing a picture collage together. This allows them to spend their time more meaningfully and sustain their friendship.

Adults can also consider doing the above-mentioned fun things that teens do to ensure that their weekends are just as fun and interesting.
